About the Artist
Vugar Mamedov is a contemporary artist and member of the Union of Artists of Russia, born in Ganja, Azerbaijan, and based in St. Petersburg since the early 1990s. His work is distinguished by a synthesis of Eastern traditions and Northern serenity, reflecting the dual influence of medieval Persian miniatures and his studies at the Stieglitz Academy. Working across landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, he has exhibited widely in Russia and throughout Europe.
